*Demon chattin*

*Shanarr, do you see it?* asks Kanan

*Yes, he just sent a hawk towards the big red building* said Shanarr

*So do you still think we should go?* asked Kanan

*Yes, but be on your guard. We do not know anything about this village* said Shanarr

They kept walking towards the big red building. A couple of people greeted him on the way there.

'They seem nice.... but for how long....?' he thought sadly

*Cheer up, Kanan* said Shanarr

*Why do you keep reading my mind like that?* asked Kanan

*I'm just bored, that's all*

Over at the Hokage Mansion

"Tsunade-sama!" yelled a pink haired girl with emerald eyes.

"What is it Sakura?" asked Tsunade reading a note

"Iruka-sensei has sent a messenger hawk stating that a man with a hawk like hairstyle has entered the village and was told to come to you" said Sakura

"Very well, would you please go down and greet him?" asked Tsunade still not looking up from her notes.

"Yes, Tsunade-sama!" as she quickly shut the door and hurried downstairs.

'Naruto is so lucky he has Sakura' she smirked

As Kanan walked towards the door of the Hokage's Mansion a girl walked out.

"Welcome, my name is Sakura Haruno" said Sakura seeing Kanan

"Hi, my name is Kanan" said Kanan, forgetting (on purpose) to add his last name.

"Tsunade-sama would like to see you" said Sakura leading him the way to her office.

"Allright" said Kanan in a bored voice though it sounded as if he was bracing himself, as if he would be shouted at.

As they entered Tsunade looked up from her notes.

"Hello, you are Kanan Jin, I presume?" asked Tsunade gesturing to Sakura to close the door behind her.

"Yes, I am" said Kanan with anticipation.

"Welcome to Konoha!" said Tsunade, at this Kanan flinched "Huh? Why did you just flinch?"

"I didn't flinch" said Kanan though he was obviously lying.

"Kanan, I know what you are and what is inside you. I don't care" said Tsunade with a bored voice

"Thank yo.... Wait! What?!" said Kanan taken aback.

"I said I don't care what you are or what you have inside of you, Welcome to Konoha" she said."Are you looking for a position as a Shinobi?"

"Y-yes ma'am" he said taken aback that she was so understanding.

"Would you please fill out this form?" asked Tsunade as she gestured him into the side room to the left. As he walked in, she smirked 'Naruto is going to have a big suprise' she sniggered in her head.

Inside of the room.

*This doesn't seem so hard* said Kanan

*Well don't put in any information that is crucial to our survival* said Shanarr

*I know, but she seems nice, knowing our secret* said Kanan in arguement

*She must just be trying to get crucial information! Stay on guard!* said Shanarr

*Yeah you're right* said Kanan as he looked down the paper

10minutes passed then he was done.

As he left the room he put the piece of paper onto Tsunade's desk.

"Impressive" she says "You were enlisted into the Sand, why did you leave?"

"I wanted to get away for awhile and Konoha was an ally so I thought I would come" he said with a straight face.

"Very well. Shizune shall show you where you will be staying." she said then picking up the phone and calling Shizune to arrange a place for him.

20 minutes later Shizune arrives. "It is ready." she said and then gestured towards Kanan to follow her.

'I hope the villagers don't find out' she thought

*Hey, Kanan* said Shanarr

*Yeah?* he asked

*I read Tsunade's last thoughts* he said (He was able to read the last echoes of someones thoughts if they are relaxed or drunk)

*And?* he asked impatiently

*She thought 'I hope the villager's don't find out'* he said

*So she accepts our kind but the villagers don't?" Kanan asked

*It would appear so, so we must keep our secret* he said

"Kanan, is something bothering you?" asked Shizune

"Nah, nothing is bothering me" he said though was shook out of his thoughts when she called his name.

"You seem distracted" said Shizune

"It's nothing, really" he said

"Allright" she said not completely convinced. They arrived at his apartment 15 minutes later "You will be staying here, the Lady Tsunade-sama will be paying the bills as you settle in" said Shizune.

"That's kind of her" said Kanan with a grin

"Lady Tsunade-sama is always kind to guests" Shizune replied as she closed the door. Then quite suddenly it opened again "Sorry, I forgot to give you this" as she handed him a map

"What is this?" he asked

"A map of Konoha, I listed all of the food places down for you" she said. "And here is some money so you can get something to eat"

"Thanks" he said grinning. Then as Shizune closed the door he began to examine the map. He grinned as he saw a Ramen resturaunt called "Ichiraku" he placed the map in his pocket and went outside and locked the door. *Well, what do you say Shanarr? Let's go look around in Konoha?*

*Fine but stay on your guard!* the old bird advised him

*I know* he said

He walked for a while, admiring the buildings. It was a long time since he was even to set foot into a village. He then reached his destination he sensed something

*Stay on the lookout, Shanarr! I sense a demon is near*

*Got it!* Shanarr replied sharply. As Kanan slowly walked upto Ichiraku he saw two people there. They were both talking. One of them had a goofy voice. He was wearing what looked like an Orange jumper. He had yellow hair and was looking straight at the other one, aswell as slurping the Ramen down quickly.

The other one was sighing. He had brown/black hair. It was hard to tell from where Kanan was looking and moved forward a bit to listen

"... and Ino and the others are all on missions. Why can't I be on a mission too?" asked Ray

"Don't worry about it Ray." said Naruto Uzumaki slurping loudly "I bet she will be happy to see you when she gets back. And then you can hang out again"

"Yeah, your proprably right Naruto" said Ray sighing.

Deciding to break the tension, Kanan walked right up and walked in.

"Hey" he said with a big smile but sensed something weird about the Yellowed haired boy called Fishcake.

"Hey" said Naruto "I haven't seen you around, are you new?"

"Yeah, just got here two hours ago" said Kanan

"Well come on in, you must be starving!" said Ray

He ate with such ferocity, they thought he looked like a hawk eating its pray.

"I'll pay for this one Ayame" said Ray

"Thanks" said Kanan

As they left they went to the park. They chatted and introduced eachother.


As he shook Naruto's hand, a sudden shock came between him and Naruto.

*Kanan, he is a Jinchuuriki, a real one* at this Kanan stepped back.

"What the hell was that?" asked Naruto

*Boy! He posseses a Demon within him!* growled the Kyuubi

They both stared at eachother. "Well this is awkward" said Kanan finally breaking the silence

"What is?" asked Ray and he began to read their minds he read Naruto's but somehow, the new guy was blank.

"Ray, this guy is a Jinchuurik!" said Naruto
